Oh my god.
So, one of my best friends has been cutting. She started a while ago, and had stopped at one point, but now she's started again. Every time I talk to her about getting help, she turns it down. And I just found the most perfect thing.
My church (I don't go to church a lot, because I'm not very religious, but my mom is making me go through confirmation) just got a new youth minister to help with confirmation and basically focus on the kids. As I was talking to my mom about Chris (the new youth minister), I was thinking that it'd be a good idea for me to talk to Chris about my friend.
My mom just checked her work email (she works at the church) and found out that Chris's fiance, Erik, works at a hospital near us. Specifically, he works with adolescents in the psych ward. Then my mom told me, and said that I should talk to my friend again and give her the suggestion of talking to Erik. Plus, then I could talk to Chris about my friend.
It's just too perfect. -
That's good...

Yeah.

What if she refuses that?

Then I don't know.

That's good, but...it's God who changes lives, not people. do you know why your friend is cutting?
-
Perhaps you could help with solving the reason she is cutting in the first place. Thats what i would do. But your idea is good too

(Before I say what I'm about to say, let me just say that I blame hormones and Mother Nature for me being a b----. If you get what I'm saying.)
@unexpected: I'm not trying to be mean, this is an honest question. Do you have to bring God into everything?
@unexpected and sports: She's cutting from stress, mostly caused by her family. Plus after the first time she cut, she became addicted to it. It's an actual addiction.
