Sam shuffles through the crowded hallway and reaches her locker. She opens it, and all of her books spill out onto the floor. She groans and starts picking them up quickly, throwing them back into her locker. At this rate, she'd be late for homeroom. She quickly checks her schedule on her locker door, grabs her books, and hurries down the hall. She walks through the door of homeroom just as the bell rings. She lets out a sigh of relief and sets her books down on a desk.
-
Jack hears the bell ring. He groans and rushes down the hallway to homeroom. The teacher gives him a dirty look as he walks in late. But Jack only gives a slight wave and sits down quickly behind an equally frustrated girl
-
Sam looks at her schedule one last time. No! I grabbed the wrong books! she thinks. Her first class was Science... but she had her English books with her. She covers her face with her hands and sighs. "Stupid, stupid, stupid," she whispers to herself, shaking her head. She hears some one sit behind her and turns around.
-
The girl turns around and Jack looks up quickly. He smiles. "Hey. First day's going pretty rough for you too right?"
-
Sam smiles back. "Absolutely horrific," she replies. "Oh, yeah. My name's Sam." Stupid. she thinks to herself. I almost forgot to say my name. She tries to hide her burning cheeks from the boy by looking down. She knew she wouldn't be successful, but it was worth a try.
-
Jack pretends not to notice her embarrassment. "I'm Jack." He can't help but stare a bit at her. She's cute. Really cute. He feels his own cheeks get red. He tries to hide it and changes the subject. "So...what's made this day so horrific?"
-
Sam looks up. She felt her cheeks burn hotter. She tries to ignore it and respond. "My...um... locker. It spilled out... and... I grabbed the wrong books for... class..." She looked up into his eyes and the breath was sucked out of her. She couldn't help but want to look into them forever. They were so comforting and friendly. She started to realize how long she'd been staring at him, and quickly tries to cover it up. "So... um... what about you? I mean, what's made your day tough?" She could feel her heart beat faster. This was not good. She couldn't even talk to Jack without getting extremely nervous.
-
Jack swallows hard and tries to come up with some joke to make things less awkward.
"Well, I was late for this class. And now the teacher over there is staring me down." he grins. "Not exactly the best way to make a good first impression." He shrugs and asks "So what's your first period? That you got the wrong books for." -
Sam smiles back. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, the hall monitors definitely think I'm a safety hazard." She laughs quietly and glances at her schedule. "Science... but I grabbed my English books. They're the same colour."
-
Jack raises his eyebrows. "Science?" he peeks over at her schedule and sees its the same class he has. "Well, since we are in the same class, do you want to just share mine? That way you won't have to be late and I'll have someone to talk to if the teacher starts lecturing." He prays that she'll yes.
-
Sam smiles and nods. "Sure. Thank you so much. I really owe you one."
-
The bell rings and Jack stands up while everyone else starts filing out. "Anytime." He knows he's still staring a little but tries to not focus on that.
-
jack go to the forum i need to talk to you i have good news
-
(whoops okay)

Sam stands up and meets his gaze. She smiles and picks up her books. It's only when the teacher hollers at her to get to class that she notices she was staring at him.
