Jack lays his head on the desk in front of him. Mrs.Calbert doesn't seem to care whether he's listening or not. She just throws him a couple apologetic glances every few minutes. He stares at his watch. Mentally trying to make it go faster so he can get to lunch.

Finally Ms.York dismissed the class for lunch. Sam hurried out the door and down the hall to her locker. She threw her books in and closed the locker door. She headed to the lunch room, awaiting when she would see Jack again.

The bell rings and Jack jumps. He gets his stuff and just crams it into his locker. He looks around the hallway trying to see where Sam is but can't seem to find her there. He shrugs silently and heads off to the cafeteria.
As he walks through the doors, he catches a small glimpse of her and starts walking over. He smiles and calls out her name. -
Sam smiles, turns around, and walks over to Jack. "Hey," she says as she stands next to him. "How'd English go? I couldn't understand anything that went on in Geometry." She grins at Jack.

Jack raises his eyebrows melodramatically, "Same for me but then again I was really paying attention so..." He shrugs and grins back at her. "You wanna get lunch or sit down or ...something?"

"Same here... I don't find anything here particularly interesting. At least, learning wise." Sam blushes and smiles. "Oh, right... This is lunch. Probably a good idea if we buy someting." She grins and gets in line.

Jack laughs and starts to think about what she said. He smiles a little as he gets in line behind Sam. He grabs a couple apples and juggles them as he waits. The ladies start to stare. "I guess I'm not too popular with the staff here."

Sam watches Jack juggles the apples and smiles. "If I were to try that, I'd be kicked out of the school for a flying apple hitting some one in their head."

Jack laughs again as he sets the apples back down. "i don't know I think you could pull it off." He pays for his lunch and looks back at the room. There aren't many seats. "...heh, crowded is an understatement."

Sam shrugs. "We could sit in the courtyard." She points outside. "I don't think anyone would mind." She pays for her lunch and smiles at Jack.

Jack nods. "Sure." He starts heading out to the courtyard and sits near one of the trees. He lets out a sigh. "Relief...I thought lunch would never come."
