I have a fücking love song stuck in my head -
You could do it through email or text instead of while they're right next to you. I find it easier to tell people things online and easier to see their responses online because it's not like you actually have to hear it.

My mom was talking to me about LGBTQ+ for some reason while we were out eating lunch yesterday.
Then later, she came up to me and asked me why I got so emotional when we were talking about it.
I cursed myself right there in my head.
I didn’t mean to get emotional on the outside
It just happened.
I felt like bursting into tears during the conversation
So I guess it must’ve showed a little bit
