A counceler called me into a room in school today, to discuss my cutting. I refused to show her my wrists because I was afraid she would call it disgusting and insane like everyone else did =( But actually, she really is nice. I don't ever want to see her again, but ya, she's nice.
She gave me a book called "Inside a Cutters Mind" too. I sorta read a few pages of it and so far this is what really stuck out to me in the book:
"To the average person, it just doesn't make sense. Why would anyone purpously hurt themselves? Isn't that crazy? Doesn't that go against human nature?" Then it expalined how any ordinary person can't come around to know that people have more reasons than "attention" and whatnot for self-harm.
"Self injury makes invisible pain visible."
"The ironic truth is that people who self-wound use pain to erase pain."
"When humans unexpectedly discover that something relieves tension or pain, they will likely turn to the method when frusteration or sadness threatens again."
The books okay, I guess. :\
But I'm really frusterated that a lot of people know, still.
And I hate what's going on... -
I forgot to mention that my friends, Idk who, told on me to a ton of teachers. So now my teacher and my new math teacher know about it... Ugh.

I'm sorry your friends don't understand Kaitie, they're not being true friends at all. At least you have support and reassurance that you're not abnormal. *hugs* Things'll get better.

While that may be true, ABC. They may have also told because they cared.

Well, they told more than one teacher and basically half of the students that go to my school, and then THOSE students told the rest.
To some extent, I guess they did care to tell a teacher to get me help I guess. But on the other hand, telling the whole school freaking pissed me off. -

Please, you're a young beautiful wonderful person that doesn't deserve this type of pain. You're still youthful, you have many years left of experiencing this crazzzzzzzy world.
