Behind that computer screen is an individual who cares about the well-being of a stranger.

A stranger that could be close to suicide because they are extremely lonely, depressed, lost, or for whatever reason they just need reassurance that someone out there truly cares.

If you do not require such reassurance, consider yourself one of the lucky ones, but do not belittle those who do need it.

It is the sentiment that matters to them, not the medium in which it is given.
