JFK was everything you could want a president to be. He could work a crowd like no other. He was ahead of the curb on issues such as poverty and civil rights. He was a patriot and humanitarian. He believed strongly in America as a champion of human freedom throughout the world and fervently opposed the tryanny of communism. He pushed the United States forward in the space race with the Soviet Union. And perhaps most signifigantly, he masterfully handled the threat of nuclear annihilation, went toe-to-toe with the Soviets during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and won.
He also f---ed anything that walked.
Some focus more on the latter, but I choose to focus more on the former. -
FLgirl92 NewbieI say Franklin Roosevelt. He basically created the welfare system, and he guided us through the Great Depression and World War II. Abe Lincoln is a close second, but I live in Florida, so I don't even mention Lincoln.

I'm more of a fan of the founding fathers. x3

I like JFK, but a person favorite was Reagan for me. Of course he wasn't very smart, but he hung around the right people.
But JFK was a really great president. x3 -
How much do you know about? This is just my opinion, but Reagan is probably the worst thing to ever happen to this country, with the exception of the Great Depression, the assassination of Lincoln, the assasination of Kennedy, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and the Kardashians.

*about Reagan

FLgirl92 NewbieI know Reagan is pretty much the God of Republicans because he cut taxes and government regulation. I can see how that might be a problem, though it's kind of hard to complain about the government staying out of your business and out of your wallet. I can see how people would like Reagan. I think even Obama said he admired Reagan.

I like Reagan. :3

My grandpa told me Reagan was the best president ever, so I used to say he was my favorite.
Now that I know a little more about politics, I'd say J.F.K or Lincoln. :P -
What about Bill Clinton? Any of you guys have any strong feelings about Clinton?
-
Don't know much about him.
From what I've been told, he fixed the economy and then Bush fuked it up again. -
I agree, Clinton didn't seem too bad, though I don't know much about him either.
I don't care or like either of the Bushes, obviously not a fan of Obama, mainly because I think he's expanding government power too much for my liking. x3 -
The first George Bush actually wasn't a terrible President. The only real complaint I have with him is that he ran a really negative campaign in 1988, and he schilled himself out to the religious Right in 1992. And of course he broke his "No New Taxes" promise, but ultimately he was right to do that. Still, people don't like it when you make promises on the campaign trail only to break them in the White House.

I'm not sure who I think the best president was, but I know who I hate the most. That would be Ford and Obama. They both pretty much f---ed up the whole economic situation of their time, and Ford was just a plain old idiot. He wasn't ready to become president, which was why he sucked so much. But, if I did have to choose a favorite, it would be J.F.K.
