I don't think so. I'll ask mom. She probably knows. But last I remembered it leaves warts and such, sometimes you can't see them. It's treatable if it's noticed before a certain stage.

Legalized.
It's their bodies, they can do whatever the hell they want with it, in my opinion. Of course, I'd prefer if they were free agents, without pimps or Madames taking a cut of their pay.
Also, people shouldn't be forced into it. As Tongue said, this would be less likely if it were legalized. -
Since I just finished my high school cpr course. I'm pretty literate on the subject.
Codoms offer limited protection to HPV and another STD but that's it. And it's only for males.
And I'm not Catholic. -
tongue AdvancedNot Catholic? I could've sworn you were.
The one STD I know of that condoms can't protect against is krabs. That's basically lice that live in pubic hair. The HPV thing isn't that big of a deal since most girls now get the HPV vaccine. -
Nope I'm protestant.
There are 24 other I think that aren't protected by condoms. -
tongue AdvancedI think you are confused. Remember there is a difference between reduced risk and fool-proof. There are no fool-proof methods of preventing disease and pregnancy...
Except abstinence.
No, wait, that's not fool-proof either, because people break vows of chastity all the time. Condoms break, but vows of chastity break easier.
Wrap it before you tap it, kids. -
Then those who break vows of chastity aren't abstinent.
Those who stay abstinent are abstinent.
It's still a method if one sees it through. -
Even if it was legalized, people would be able to choose but they could still be forced into it,and that "business" would probably still be very hush-hush. The only difference would be that the police wouldn't be cracking down on these prostitution rings.

@Brit/Tongue: It probably isn't my place, but I'd just like to say something.
Abstinence is a great idea. Really, just terrific. But, can you blame the human being for having hormones? It is perfectly natural for us to want sexual intereactment, why should we deny ourselves the right because it's written down in the Bible? We are like animals: we have instincts. Marriage has nothing to do with them, but sex certainly does.
Why should it be shameful to have sex: this is our instinct. In a way, we were made for it. Where does shame come from all of this?
Just my opinion :P -
tongue AdvancedI agree with you. I think vowing to stay abstinent until marraige is stupid. You're tempted more by the things that are off limits, and in the case of abstinence, when someone breaks that promise, they probably haven't sought out any information that could keep them safe. And yea, sexuality is a natural tendency for humanity. I wouldn't suggest going around and fondling everyone or whoring yourself out in second grade, but waiting until marraige is an extreme proposition if you ask me.
-
If your body is developed, and you know and trust the other person, then with their concent, go for it.
-
tongue AdvancedThat's a decent rule. Even if you aren't in monogymous relationship, you should know something about your sexual partners. So raw-dogging random girls in the bathroom at a bar is not something I would suggest. And stay away from glory holes!
