18
the smoking age is 18 and cigarettes can cause a lot more damage than drinking, but yet again you have to drink responsibly, im not saying that you can go out and get drunk at 18, im just saying you have to be careful -
21, kids aren't young enough to handle the intensity of drinking. Trust me, I know people who were doing great until they began drinking underage...they're sober now and back to normal. If they didn't stop, they'd be in jail like some of their friends, who can't get enough alcohol.
To everyone out there, I strongly suggest you participate in the agrument that feels drinking should only be leagal for anyone over age 21. You'll screw your life up, and if you're not doing so well right now, don't make it harder for yourself.
Don't drink, kids!
(I did DARE in fifth grade) -
and @amywhite on pg 1: Don't drink, there's nothing cool about it. There's nothing cool about poluting your body, and if the reason why you want to drink if that's what you meant by not wanting to wait three more years isn't because you just want to be cool, there's just no good in it, period.
SOrry for trying my hardest to prove points here, folks, but some people who are very close to me have or almost died drinking, doing drugs, and smoking. -
18 again, if you can be drafted into the army, i think you should be able to drink while over seas

@ DragonzEye:
1: There is a difference between drinking and getting drunk. Just drinking alcohol is okay - drinking so much that it makes you drunk is not.
My Dad (I would use myself as an example, but I don't like alcohol xD) likes beer and stuff - but he doesn't drink it often, and when he does, he doesn't get drunk. He can still drive and all that. If all the alcohol in the world suddenly disappeared, he wouldn't be completely depressed or anything.
So no, he wasn't doing anything wrong by drinking.
I think it should be moved to 18, I don't see why the heck not. Like pyrowolf said, if you can go risk getting killed for your country, I don't see why the heck you can't drink.
And Amywhite didn't say she thought it was cool to drink, so I don't know why you got all over her for saying that. And as I already said, drinking a small amount is not really polluting your body.
If you're worried about polluting your body, then junk food should be illegal. -
Um, why the heck did I put a 1 before that post? xD
