and i know kids that were very young and raised by queer parents, and they understand it just fine. it's just two people loving each other, just like straight people. they will get it if they're exposed to it properly.

I think this is all a huge misunderstanding. I don't think you mean anything bad by what you're saying @biscuitbear. I just think that everyone here has a different perspective or opinion on this that's informed by their own research and experiences. When it comes to something like childhood development we really need to look to the research and present it as respectfully and diligently as we can.
I'm sorry this has become a heated debate. I don't think anyone deserves to feel yelled at in this situation. -

I just found this too. Idk if anyone else knew about it but I just found it while researching the other bill. I can't believe I didn't see it covered anywhere major and had to go find it myself.
If you stand for any of the things desantis is doing or think you'd vote for him is president then I urge you to really consider your values and ask yourself if censorship and authoritarian policies are things you truly align with. You can't be pro first amendment and support him. -

Agreed. The fact that DeSantis has been able to get away with what he has is absolutely terrifying. It's unconstitutional. Anyone who doesn't fully oppose him is a part of the problem

Everyone has different views on sexuality, but trying to be biased towards a particular sexuality doesn't make sense at all. Everyone should have a right to their own decisions and this is just totally insane..
Like why can straight people get more rights than lgbtq+ just because they don't like them?
Sometimes, the law actually sucks, but unfortunately there's not much odinary people can do about it..
But you'll have to agree, not all lgbtqia+ or 'straight' people are good. The system of education should also be checked too.
