Well you said you're "firmly against" gun control, which makes it sound like you don't think there should be any type of restrictions on purchasing guns whatsoever.
If that's not the case, then what? You think the amount of gun control we have now is absolutely perfect, and you're firmly against adding more restrictions? -
so do you mean that you WANT gun control? What do you mean by "I'm firmly against it"? You've confused me immediately and this discussion has barely started.

Also, I'm all for gun control. Guns scare me and I'm afraid that a school shooting will actually happen on my campus or my sibling's campuses.

I think there should be restrictions. Obviously I'm not ok with a convicted s3x offender walking up and buying a 12 gauge.
The problem is that many of these restrictions are f---ing stupid. What do you mean I can't put a foregrip on a pistol?

It's not about that. some pieces are manufactured by companies that don't want s--- to go down when someone kills a guy with thier pieces

This is a multi faceted issue that I don't think we can have a productive discourse on here in the forums.
People who are for and against gun control both think their stance is going to make America safer and I simply think there's too many other factors in play for either to be entirely true.
There's a lot to say about the mental health crisis in America and toxic masculinity leading to an unnecessary amount of gun violence. The same people who are super pro second amendment are the same people perpetuating toxic mental health and bigoted idea that lead people to commit hate crimes to begin with. -
Because they're not responsible for what people do with their guns?
That's like suing a cleaning company because their window cleaner was used to poison someone. -

We need more restrictions. Period, full stop, etc. -
I understand where you're coming from, however, guns aren't the issue.
The issue is bad/Irresponsible parents.
