Please explain to me how FIREARMS are NOT the direct issue causing FIREARMS to be the number one cause of death for children in America.
-
This may sound unbelievable, but in countries where firearms are banned, firearms are NOT the number one cause of death for children. Stupid parents still exist in these countries. So what's the difference between them and us?
-
Guns are literally the issue. The parents don't really have anything to do with it.
-
Guns are the direct cause, parents are more often than not, the reason gun violence happens.
Poor/abusive parenting or parents simply being irresponsible.
EX: If a child can access a parent's gun and use it, then it is the parents fault for not ensuring the child can get to it, NOT the gun's fault. -
Okay, sure. However, if there was a way to prevent children from dying to guns, wouldn't you want to do so? Or does it not bother you that children are dying needlessly
-
-
The only way to ensure that the example scenario wouldn't happen is for the parents to actually be responsible and ensure that the child cannot access the gun in question.
-
Actually, there is a way to ensure that children do not die to guns. Would you like to know what it is?
-
Technically, there is no way to 100% ensure that.
-
This is going to sound crazy, but if people do not have guns, children will not die to guns. I'm not quite sure how republicans are always completely unable to understand such a simple concept, but in countries where firearms are not allowed or are more heavily restricted, children are not dying to guns. There are no "home accidents" and there are no school shootings. There IS evidence. But people refuse to lose a "hobby" in order to save lives. These people are selfish, and only care about themselves.

Uh...
Sorry to burst your bubble, but...
No.
It's not that simple. It's not that easy.
Removing guns would likely decrease the death rates caused by firearms, but, it wouldn't drop to zero.
It's likely something else would take its place.
In any case, there would also be an increase in crime, as you would not only be making thousands of innocent people felons, but also making it easier for criminals to commit crime. Especially home invaders. Hope you're smart enough to understand why. -

I am laughing so f---ing hard right now jesus christ. If there are NO GUNS how would people die to GUNS??????? I'm sorry but there's no way you're actually reading anything I'm saying. Either that or you're just f---ing trolling us -
I think what bread is trying to say is that no, removing guns will not bring the death rate to zero, but in areas where the common cause of death is guns, the death rate will decrease
-
I don't know though. Because if guns are banned, it means that only the criminals will have them, and law abiding citizens won't be able to defend themselves. Just because guns could be banned does not mean they will stop being used. People will sell them on the black market and stuff.
