Thread Topic: Abortion.

i cant tell if that's a gotcha or not but just in case i want to clarify that i was speaking from the perspective of strongly pro life people not my personal opinion. my point was to explain why certain arguments would be ineffective even tho they're valid.

And thanks to our new Supreme court justice, abortion rights are under threat. Yippie for yall, I'm sure.
I just want to be clear. By taking away this right, you'd be subjecting women and children to fates worse than just simply never being born.
Abortion bans WILL NOT WORK. What WOULD work is comprehensive sex education, easy access to birth control, free Healthcare and free resources for pregnant woman, foster system reform.. Abortion isn't the issue. REASONS people get abortions are. Take away the reasons and the numbers would absolutely plummet.
Sadly, like I said.. You don't actually care about the welfare of the child or the woman. If you did, you'd be more concerned about why they get abortions, and would want to know how you can help. Instead you just want to argue about control over situations you know nothing about.
I will be posting some ~abortion tea~ recipes and resources here, just in case the worst happens. I'd recommend stocking up on Plan B and ingredients for ~tea.~ If you have to do this, please be careful and only tell those you trust. -
Not u drekky these pro-lifers in gen
I'm so angry about acb. She doesn't even know the constitution. I'm genuinely afraid for my rights. :) it's great. -
id like to bring up the best argument iv heard for being pro-life but against paying for necessary services. it basically goes "if someone says it's ok to shoot a homeless you would ofc be against that if you're a good person. if someone wants to tax your hard earned money to help pay for programs for the homeless man you have every right to be against that cause it's your money and he doesn't have a right to take it. it's the same with the baby" i definitely dont agree with that view and might have phrased it badly but it at least kinda makes sense ig?
i hope she doesn't rule rule that it's unconstitutional -
I'll be honest that argument is not stupid and further proves my point: pro-life groups don't care about the children, once they're born they wouldn't care if they didn't have food or a roof over their head. They're simply pro-birth, and that's f---ed up.
-
Besides, that's false equivalency. A better example would be saying you care about the homeless, but being unwilling to help them at all.
-
i dont think it's too false, at least from the pro-life point of view because they believe the guy getting shot and the abortion are both humans being murdered. and if they believe that the pro-choice side is ok with murder then they'd ofc think that they care more about babies than the pro-choice ppl.
-
No i mean murdering a homeless man for virtually no reason isn't the same as aborting a fetus for valid reasons. Murdering the homeless man improves no one's quality of life, aborting the fetus does. AND the homeless man doesn't need to be physically attached to another being to live. Helping a homeless man is option, a fetus or baby literally can't survive without being cared for.

Which reminds me, Star:
Abortion only counts for 3% of PP's services. You'd be taking away access to birth control, which keeps people from getting pregnant and needing an abortion. By defunding PP, you'd be causing MORE abortions, because they already aren't paid by taxpayer money.
