Thread Topic: Abortion.

Are you pro-life or pro-choice? Please state why.
-
Pro-choice.
In my mind, some people just aren’t ready (too young) to he parents. If they think that too, then they shouldn’t put that on the selves. I know that you’re killing the baby, and there should be another way, but it’s their decision. -
I know that you’re killing the baby
But that's a human life. Does that mean that if the baby's born and the parents can't take care of them is it morally okay to just murder the child? Of course not. So why is it justified as long as the child is still inside your body? -
Pro-life.
You are killing life. This is not right. If you didn't want it, then you shouldn't have gotten pregnant. They deserve a chance at life, too, don't they? Just like their parents had the chance of life. The parent's parents let their children live!
I go against abortion. -
I think that once it's been there for about a month or maybe even two, then it's too late to abort because it's more developed. But if it's only like less than two months old then I think that it is the parent's choice and it's okay to decide not to keep it, because at that point it's not developed enough to (in my opinion) be considered a life yet.
But once it's after about two months, then I think that it's not okay to abort it because now it has developed enough and been around long enough that it would just be horrible to kill it. -
I agree with Ellie

So you're saying the fetus isn't alive? Because it's definitely a life if it's alive, and it's definitely not dead.
And because it's a human offspring, an individual at the moment of conception with their own unique mixture of cells, that means it's a human life. -
Pro choice. Like I wouldn’t want anything to die but it isn’t my choice so I can’t really argue about it.
-
Also because the kid hasn’t had experience at life yet, so it wouldn’t hurt it. I know it’s wrong but it’s the parent’s decision
-
It's a human life, which means it's not the parent's choice. The parent's choice appeared when they chose whether or not to have s*x. The right to live is given to all humans by the Declaration of Independence.
People tried to say "Blacks aren't human, they aren't included in the Declaration of Independence!" Do you remember where that led us? War. Saying that unborn children don't have the right to live because you think they're "not human" is only going to make things worse.
All humans deserve the right to live, and that includes the young. -
They are still very much human, but when they’re so young- their parents are responsible for their lives — including their own.
I’m saying that I would never abort a child, but I’m not going to scream at people that have made the decision to. I might try and convince them that they could always put the child up for adoption if they can’t take care of it, but abortion doesn’t hurt the child. -
For Christians, life starts at conception. They're not going to want to rob them of the chance for a life of faith. (I don't know if it's this way for other religions too)
For most other people life does not start at conception. And so since it is not alive to them, it's alright to get an abortion. -
I agree with dragonsfire!
Realistically, if you aren’t the parent- you shouldn’t try and make the decision for them. -
im definitely pro-choice
-
@Cham: I'm not quite sure how you were interpreting that, but just to clarify I was putting two points of view, not stating my opinion.
I'm definitely pro-life
