Even if she refused federal orders to marry LGBTQ+ couples, she shouldn't have gone to jail? But none of the less, just f---ing fire the f---wad? I think you're still entitled to your beliefs, of course, but when you're at work I think you should put your beliefs(especially the religious beliefs in opposing same-sex marriage and couples) and feelings and ignorance aside and actually do the job that you're anticipated to do because at jobs you're suppose to have a secular mind and be fair to everyone. If you don't want to do your own job that you now have, just quit or get fired. Especially her employees that were also just really insinuating as they were taking a stand for their "Christian beliefs" by not following federal orders also, which was probably just dumb Christian pride.

Totally agree.
The fact of the matter is, if you're paid to do a certain job, you do said job; regardless of personal belief. If you can't perform said job because of personal belief, then you quit or let someone who can do it, do it. If she was a pastor or similar, than it's entirely within her rights to refuse to marry someone, but she's not. She's entirely in the wrong here no matter how you look at it and deserves everything that happened to her. -
Some parts didn't make sense because I kept shifting thoughts so sorry about that. :'D
But a pastor cannot refuse someone's right to marry, better yet their general rights as an American? -
Actually, it's entirely legal for a pastor to refuse to marry someone for pretty much any reason. It falls under the separation of church and state. It's the same reason that Muslims are allowed to discriminate against females by refusing to make them leaders of Mosques.
Besides, a legal marriage is just a scrap of paper, it has nothing to do with a pastor at all. The ceremony is purely for religious reasons, and if a pastor feels marrying someone would go against his religion, it's entirely within his rights to refuse.
After all, imagine the outrage that would happen if the government forced a Catholic priest to marry a non catholic couple. It would be a total invasion of their religious rights. -
YES

She broke the law. No attorney could save her.
-
Uh, I really don't agree with that, but okay.
-
once again, I agree with IHLAOY.
-
Agree with IHLAOY about everything except the ceremony being religious. You can have a ceremony without it being religious.

She did NOT deserve to be in jail. I don't care WHAT happened with the two dudes but it is wrong and if she didn't want to get them married, so WHAT?!? She was doing the right thing by NOT getting them married and I don't care if some of you try to contradict me.

Wow lol.

She broke the law, Twilight. Better be careful with that sht. If you think religious acts shouldn't be limited by the law then you're pretty likely to die a lot sooner than you'd like.
-
I know what's going to happen and I'd rather you keep your profanity somewhere else so that it doesn't contaminate anything.
But mark my words: "It is wrong for people to try to get married with the same gender. It's WRONG, with a capital W. I don't care if you all hate me because 2017 is going to be a tough year. I'd suggest you all keep doing whatever you feel like doing and ignore me if you don't like what I am saying."

What makes it wrong?
