um no that's not the problem here
it's your stupidity -
Slim, I'll take that over a die-hard conservative. I've always thought of it this way- we've all been taught since we were children that change is good. Things need to be changed and improved upon. It's a common moral in children's cartoons. "I know you're used to this thing, but try new things, too. That's how you expand as a person." It's right in the name- Conservatives want to conserve America exactly as it was. I'd rather change everything completely than let it stay as it is.
That's a huge rambly way of saying I don't mind being equally as liberal as she is religious and stupid. -
well, it's not that either of you are stupid, it's just that both of you take the things you grew up with way to seriously.
I wouldn't say its an issue with intelligence. just maturity. -
I was raised extremely conservative. I didn't grow up with the viewpoints I'm pushing for now.
-
Look at it this way: You were raised as a born again Christian for your whole life. Now you are still the same way. How is being a born again Christian stupid? Sure, I even admit I DO sound crazy and insane, but what more can I do?
When it comes to religion, I will argue. No sense in trying to argue with me. If you don't like it, just tell me what YOU believe in and I will accept that. But don't get me started with the marriage rights because I will most likely barf in horror. Anything BUT marriages of the same gender. I can't take that kind of stuff, okay?
Ive been trying to say that all along but NOOOOOOOO. You HAVE TO start with that. I'll shut up if you all shut up. I do what I say, ya know.
Consider it please, and I will stick my head in a feedbag. -
((I was raised a Christian. I am not one anymore. It's not stupid to be Christian or to be raised that way, but it is stupid that a religion that preaches love for all is so often used as an excuse to be a hateful human being.
I don't give a f--- what you think about marriage equality.)) -
Its not hateful. Its more of a suggestion. But many people are against the marriage thing. I don't see how anyone would want to be together with a same gender, but all I care about is my actions when that comes up. You can all go ahead and do that, but that doesn't mean I will. I see that you want ME to fall for that. But it wont work. But you can try that out with anyone else and see what they do about it.
Disgusting. And I do NOT care if you think against that. -
If you love someone you should be free to love them so stop being a homophobic ass and get over yourself you're nothing special , I doubt by your spelling and grammer that you have a scholarship at a fancy university.
You Also aren't funny so stop with this " I'm being and idiot for s---s and giggles " and " I'm so funny Imma ( badly ) troll you all " -
That's ridiculous. There is undeniably a lot of hatred within the Christian community. If it were just a suggestion, they wouldn't be trying to influence the law with their beliefs.
Are you suggesting that I'm trying to make you gay...?
Good for you. -
"I was raised extremely conservative"
"- we've all been taught since we were children that change is good."
So if liberals are abiut change, and thats what you were taught growing up then how is it you were raised conservative?
Im sure elaboration would clear up the contradiction -
I was raised conservative by all the family around me. Every adult in my family is sexist, racist, homophobic, textbook intolerant conservative. But, like I said, it's a common lesson taught in all those children's shows kids are supposed to be deriving their morals from. "Embrace change. Try new things." As I said before, it's how we expand as people. It's a big thing little kids are supposed to learn. Most of those shows are just referring to moving to a new house or trying a new activity or food, because they're for children, but I think it's applicable on a larger scale.
-
Aah gotcha. I figured it was something like that.
So your immature take on our political poles comes from negative exposure to self proclaimed conservatives that you never outgrew.
Im guessing its much the same for blondie except that her family lifes probably stronger -
My political views are not immature, and they do not exist because of my relationship with my family.
-
Lol no offense but blatantly equating a political stance that encompasses issues from freedom of religion to economic policies to racism couldn't get more immature.
I get that you have your position and she has yours, it's the lack of perspective that's so childish -
No, alright, that's fair. I get pretty bitter thinking about how much they want me to go along with that sht and admittedly it leads me to make very general and overly simplified statements about conservatives, which isn't fair and is honestly an immature behavior. Thanks for that, I guess.
