"He he. I guess you are." So Chad went into the kitchen and got Kitty some food.

Kitty 'reccovered' quickly and ate up her food with lightning speed. She jumped onto Chad's shoulder (A habit she can't seem to be rid of) and starte to wash.

"I guess you don't know where Ainsley went, do you."

The cat tilted her head and looked at Chad. Her way of saying, no.

"I thought not."

Kitty pricked her ears and looked at the window with wide eyes.

"What is it?"

Soon, the sound of many animals could be heard. There were dogs, birds, cats, and others. They sounded frightened and, even worse, angery.

Chad ran to the window to see what was going on. "We have to go, Kitty."

Outside, all the animals ever to be eaten by It came closer and closer to the house. Kitty let out a small mew and dug her claws into Chad's shoulder out of fear.

Chad found a secret door in the floor. "Should we?"

As if in reply, Kitty leapt off of Chad's shoulder and clawed at the nob.

"Right!" Chad opened the secret door. "It's so dark in here."

Before a flashlight could be grabbed, the front door was smashed in two and animals came running in.

"Ah!" Chad ran back toward the secret door. "No time."
