Lilac ditched school after fourth period, right before lunch. Going around the brick walls of the school, she came to the front of it, a long bike rack filled with unchained bikes and skateboards. She grabbed a board, stealthily threading her way through already filling benches and trees. Once she got to the sidewalk, she started sprinting....

Lilac coasted down a steep hill, bending down to pick up more speed. Next thing she knew she was flying through the air, and landing on the hot tar, bouncing across the rough tarmac from the power of her momentum. Black dots bloomed across her vision, pain searing in her back....

Etelani screamed at the top of her lungs. She'd been bitten! 'NOOOOOOO!!!'

Wysteria turn and ran toward Lani, screaming help all the way.

When Lilac woke up she was on the edge of a woods, screaming reverberating through the trees. "What the...." thought Lilac. She got up, her back flaming and staggered towards the sound. Then she saw two other girls, screaming their heads off. "Is this the Scream Team try-outs?" wondred Lilac, coming into view.

Lani burst out into tears. She looked up to find Wysteria.

"What's wrong?" Wysteria asked, hugging Lani.

Lilac came up to the two girls. "Whats going on????" she asked.

'I...I failed. I got bitten at the last minute! The whole world is in danger,and it's all my fault!' Etelani sobbed, staring at the deep wound in her forearm.

Wysteria bit her lip "Thhat looks really bad, and I'm not a healer like my mom. I would take you to see her, but I doubt you can breath underwater."

'You guys don't get it. I'm a killer,now! I'm a Moorui! The best thing you can do is stay away. I don't want anyone to get hurt.'

Wysteria crossed her arms "Not all creatures are bad you know." she said.

'Mooruis are. My whole family was murdered by them. So were all my friends. Now,I'm one of them.' Lani said, staring down.
