Ivan held his hand as the doctor prepared Giovanni's other arm for the blood drawing.

Gio nearly clung to Ivan's hand. It was probably the hardest he'd ever gripped something.

Ivan's hand hurt a bit but he didn't say anything. The doctor then put the needle in Gio's arm and started drawing blood.

His face was one of sheer disgust and horror when the needle went in, and for a few seconds he didn't know how to react. But, being the crybaby he was, he eventually started up on soft weeping.

Ivan put Gio's head on his shoulder and tried to comfort him as the doctor took the blood samples.

"Ivan.." he whispered lowly, his face pale once more. "Ivan.. It hurts."

Ivan stroked his hair. "I know, love, I know, but it'll be over soon."

Gio nodded once more, somewhat comforted by the stroking of his hair.

The doctor finished up. "Okay, that's it for today. I'll send these into the lab and the results will be back in just about a week."

"I could be dead in a weak," Giovanni responded with a crack in his voice.

The doctor shook his head. "I won't let that happen. Just keep taking the medecine we gave you the other day and I'm sure you will be gone all week."

"Alright.." he responded softly.

Ivan stood. "Thank you, doctor." Dr. Ludwig smiled. "Anytime, Mr. Ivan. I'm glad to help the pair of you."

Gio stood with Ivan, and clung to his arm.

Ivan smiled kindly, then walked out with Giovanni.
