"Apparently not."
I hear quick footsteps behind me.
"What was that?" I turn around, but I don't see anything. -
I grab her wrist. "don't stop running."

We keep running, but every once in a while, I still hear the footsteps.
"Stop!" I see soemone dive to the side and run the next time I turn around, but they are to fast for Annie.
"Oh my god, did you see who that was? That isn't possible." -
"We can't just sit here!"

"Stay here, you can't run that fast."
I turn around and run towards him.
"Noah!! Noah, please, come back!" -
I try to grab her wrist. "It's not Noah!"

I feel the speed rush that I always get when I run, the feeling of adrenaline everywhere. I feel alive. I see I'm catching up to Noah. He was always really slow...

But this boy isn't. He is almost as fast as me. I stop, just as I see the bullet hit my stomach.

I run after her, and when I finally catch her, she's on the ground. "s---..."

"God, I can't feel it..." I say, knowing that I'm losing the fight right now. The boy got away, and I know that he must have been the one who got Noah.

"Aw man, why did you do that?" I look at her, then up to see if I could see who did this, they were gonna regret the day they bought that gun.

"I thought it was Noah..." I say, thinking about what an idiot I was to think that.

"Come out you bas*ard!" I shout at the woods.

"No! If he shoots you, your as good as dead, except worse!"

"He's just a coward hiding behind a gun," I taunted. "He wouldn't attack me bare handed!"
