In times of distress and sadness... I just shut down completely, making it even worse... Does this happen to any of you?

It's a common response to distressing situations to lock up. The hope that it will pass over or a panic response is the most common explanation for this type of reaction. I personally become arrogant and emotionless in times o distress or sadness. That's my response. And everyone has their own. It's natural.

Self judgement is harsher than any other form out there. You will perceive yourself negatively because you know all the steps it took to get where you are. You don't know how similar your progress was to others. And while you cannot view your own accomplishments without the scrutiny of knowing every single detail, you see other people's creations without the same imperfections that others do. So your judgement on yourself is based on your own expectations of yourself and the lack of comparison on a similar level.

Ting, let me tell you right now, being completely honest, I admire you. I wish I had your skills. I wish I was as smart and adorable as you. You're awesome, whether as an artist, singer, friend, person, whatever. So stop being so judgmental and harsh towards someone I love. >:U
