You: :O No way.
Stranger: Fer sure
You: Like a boss.
Stranger: Totally.
You: Mhm.
Stranger: And Donna Summers is who, again?
You: Idk, some woman in a taco suit.'
Stranger: Nice. I would like a taco right about now.
You: Me too, let's go to Taco Bell.
Stranger: Sweet. I'm in.
You: Yay. I think I;ll get a chalupa.
Stranger: Hey. Those are my faves!
You: Woot! :D
Stranger: Seriously, now I want a taco.
You: Same. Sorry I set off a craving. xD
Stranger: Eh, it's all good. I can send my elf to get me one.
You: Nice, I need one of those.
Stranger: Yeah, she comes in handy. She brings me soda, snacks, cleans my bathroom, vacuums my floors. It's nice.
You: That's awesome. Where'd you find her?
Stranger: My uterus. About 17 years ago. She just appeared there one day.
You: That's lovely. I wonder if one will appear in mine one day. :O
Stranger: Maybe if you're lucky. However, you have to clean up after them for a long time before they start returning the favor.
You: Ah, needs training. Like a puppy.
Stranger: Yup. It takes about ten years or so for the training to kick in, but then you have to wait another 6 years so that the elf can get her license and can do things like run to Taco Bell for you. It's a big, long, waiting game. Then the little s--- turns 18 and leaves. After all I've done for her!
You: :O That's just cruel. Hopefully she won't end up putting you in a nursing home.
Stranger: That's what I said! I'd rather she take me out back and shoot me first.
You: Same here. Hm, maybe I shouldn't have an elf. Fairies are much kinder.
Stranger: Good call. I have another elf who is on her way to growing up, too. I tell ya, all they do is break your heart.
Stranger: Just kidding, elves are great.
Stranger: Especially when you want Taco Bell.
You: Yeah. :3 They do seem quite nice. And you'd have to have several fairies to get taco bell, because the bag is so heavy for them.
Stranger: Yeah. It would take the fairies quite a while to get it home, and it would be cold.
You: That's true. :/ And they'd be so tired afterwards, so they wouldn't be able to take care of the trash.
Stranger: Good point. Now elves, believe it or not, grow to be regular people size, so none of that is a problem for them.
You: Wow, that's useful. Could they even do things like fix your car and do your homework? I can see why Santa really likes them. :3
Stranger: They sure can, if you've trained them to. They can even do the grocery shopping and laundry and whatnot. Everyone should have an elf! However, they are expensive to maintain. You need to feed, clothe and entertain them, which can get pricey.
You: Yeah, can't have all that good work without a payment. Where do they go after they're 18? :'3
Stranger: They travel the world looking for a place to settle down and have their own elves. Sometimes they go to this place called "college" where they learn the ways of human adults. Once they turn 18 they are no longer elves, but morph into adult humans. For some of them the transformation can take years. For male elves it can take a very long time, indeed.
You: Wow, so they adapt and grow into the human world I see. Sounds rather challenging considering their young lives consisted of cleaning, chores and fetching Taco Bell. I have to go now, but thank you for conversing with me. :3 I learned wonderful information and will hopefully find my own elf one day.
