As he was running, he looked up at the night sky for a second. Such a beautiful night... As he brought his eyes back down to the road he thought he caught a glimpse of the girl from the square. He stopped abruptly and looked up again, this time for more than a few seconds. It was her, leaning out of her window, looking at the streets below.

Rhiley squinted against the glare of the setting sun, and smiled. It was the guy from earlier that day. She waved, almsot loosing her balance.

Alex smiled up at her and waved back, temporarily forgetting why he had been running through the area. He checked the time. It's been fifteen minutes... There's no saving them now...

"Aaarr uuuuu ookaaeee?" she asked, loud enough to be heard by Alex but not her parents.

His eyes flickered back up to her. He nodded. "Yes, I'll be alright..." He paused, glancing around. "It might be safer if you call me, that way only we can hear each other."

Rhiley nodded, and reached over for her phone. "Noooww?"

Alex nodded. "Now." He silently prayed for those at that party. Be safe... Escape before they find you... Run as fast as you can... Let the military have forgotten the dogs this time...

She tapped in the string of numbers from the piece of paper she still had in her hand, and held it against the side of her face. It rang once, twice, three times.

Alex's phone vibrated in his pocket. He picked it up and clicked the answer button. "Hi," he said into the receiver. "I've gotten myself into a bit of a predicament.... Well, I'm not fully involved. But someone close to me is."

"Uuuu neeeedd haaayylp?" Rhiley asked, ready to offer whatever she had to give. Which, while it wasn't much, was still a kind gesture.

Alex smiled softly. "That's very kind of you. I'd appreciate any advice you could lend, though it's a very difficult situation. You see, there are these illegal parties that teenagers throw... There was one tonight, and it just so happens that it's a raid night as well...." He trailed off, hoping he wouldn't have to get into how he knows and his past experience with the matter.

"Uuuu theenkk sooldeeerss huurrrt teeenns?" she asked, thinking.

Alex winced, memories of the party he was at running through his mind. "Yes. They have... They do... More than hurting them... They kill them without a second thought."

"Wwyiii thaay doo thaatt?" She didn't even bother hiding her suprise. Without waiting for an answer, she offered the only advice that seemed rational. "Uuuuu hhaaaavv too haaayylp themm. Wooorrnn themm."

Alex bit his lip. "So I should go, then, in order to get there in time... I'll... Uh... See you around?"
