"Or later," Eric said. What had she expected?

"We should just go now. I know where she hides the key."I said relieves that Eric wasn't thinking of anywhere else.

"Great." Eric looked around. "Just, uh, where exactly?"

"I have money for a taxi." I said. I really didn't want him looking for something while carrying me.

"Thanks," Eric said, looking relieved.

"Your welcome."

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah. I am."I said, putting my arms around his neck.

Eric flew down quickly, folded in his wings, and put back on his shirt.

I hailed a taxi. When I got into the car it smelled like smoke.'Ew',I thought."2439 Toledo Avenue."I told the driver. When We came up to the house, I paid the guy and he drove off.

"So this is her house?" He smiled.

"Yes, and my original house. Where it seemed.....safe," I said, with tears coming to my eyes.

Unsure of what to say, Eric hugged her. Finally, he said something. "Let's go inside."

I quickly found the key and unlocked the door. My mother hadn't redecorated since I'd left. Pictures of me and other relatives were still on the drawer set in the living room. I left Eric in a hallway and went up to see my old room.

A little curious, Eric looked at some of the pictures. He grinned when he saw one of a younger Ashley.
