I was planning on sending my book to a publisher, and this is what I came up with:

Subject: Manuscript Submission Request
Dear Publisher:
I'm requesting permission to send you a manuscript for you to evaluate. The work's title is, "The Death Room," Book 1 of a 6 book series called Roeth. (See below for synopsis) It's a 115 page, of the horror genre, which is about the tale of Rive Hartley, a girl who was abandoned in a wintery and dreary room and left to die at the age of six, until she is rescued and tried to piece up what she can remember of her past life.
Rive wakes up in a dark and gloomy room, and has forgotten her past and who her family as, she can remember a few things about her own self, for instance her name. But that's all, the room has no doors and she's stuck there with no food or water and no hope of survival. Until a man and his son come and rescue her from her near-by death, when she can't remember her family or even what they looked like, or anything from her dark past, they can't trace them and it seems that she is orphaned, until they take her in and she adapts to her new life and tries to find out about her dark past and confront the nightmares she has at night.
At the very end of the series, the ending is sad. Of course, the girl dies from a fight. This book is based on the thoughts and misery of someone who feels disgraced in front of her family and doesn't feel accepted anywhere. There is no need to return the manuscript.
