KC (Kansas City, for y'all who hate abbreviations) is full of small businesses as well, depending on wether you're in the downtown area or what. We have a few bigger ones here and there, but even the bigger ones are Trader Joe's and stuff, not Walmart or Target.
I actually don't mind Trader Joe's being successful though, because I like them. x) They have a bunch of weird, random food there. xD And it's allll naturrralll. 8D
I wanna go to a castle too...
DEWEY, BUILD A CASTLE. -
Trader Joe's is awesome.
The castle is near ruins. But I come from royalty and I'm proud of *SHOT* -
Actually, the main reason we don't have many big businesses is because we're old as crap, and there's not enough room to tear down an old building and put up a Walmart. xD
I mean, seriously:
You really think there's enough room for a new Walmart there? 8/
I hope they never do anything like that, though. I love the old buildings. I'd buy one someday and restore it, but I'll probably never earn enough. xD
It can be our castle. 8/ -
They've tried to put big things in like Walmart, but we kept them out.

Yayz. :D

I'm trying to find a picture like that of Portland...
I like this one. -

People love that first scene... I have to admit, I wouldn't mind drawing it...
I'd rather Union Station, though. -
The Union Station here in KC had this historical train/civil war thingy once, and they had a fake slave ship thingamajig. There was a bedroll and a pillow in it, and I slammed my hand onto the pillow out of random curiosity to see how soft it was. Unfortunately, it was hard-as-a-rock plastic, and I just about broke my hand on it. >.

Whoa... ouchie.
I saw this cool bridges picture at Powell's once... -
Yeahhh...
Yay for more bridges, again. ^^
