"No, we aren't." I don't know what to tell him otherwise. I thought for a moment. What he said about me being his mentor was true. If I hadn't been turned I would've gotten an apprentice. Although he would've learned to use knives, not stakes. That's how I'd become the best. I was better with knives. I wiped the knife off on my shirt and glanced at Chase.

"Ok, then he can be a snack?" I laughed. And glanced over at him.

"Uh..." I felt kinda bad for the little guy. I mean, if when I'd been apprenticed, even though it was early, my mentor had been a vamp, would she have killed me? Probably. That didn't mean I had to kill him, though...

I want over to Chase and looked down at him with a questionable face. "Your just a kid all alone aren't you?" I laughed and messed up his hair.

Chase nodded. I walked over quickly, staring at him. "So, uh, Chase... we should probably get you back to the Society."

"Do you think he even knows were vamps?" I whispered to Jordan standing next to her.

Chase shook his head. "No! We have to find Jordan!"

"No, he doesn't. I'd be the one to teach him the difference between vampires and humans," I whispered back. Chase looked at the dead vampire.

"Yeah, kid besides you won't even know were the vampires are." I smirked at him and winked.

"Ah, I get it." I looked back at the dead body. "Uhh, Well, you two can talk and I'll. uh, take care of that for us." I went to the body, threw if over my shoulder and ran off, leaving the two alone.

I sighed. This kid was making me feel bad. I looked at Lucy. "Sorry for killing the vamp. Y'know, if was your friend or something," I whispered. Somehow Chase heard me.
"Why would you apologize? You killed him. You're a Slayer. You're supposed to kill monsters like that. Or they'll kill us." I winced at his words. -
Lucy left. I looked at Chase. "So..."

"Its ok!" I said as I dissappeared. When I got to the river I quickly dumped the body and just as I entered the park again, I saw a girl curled up next to a tree.

Chase sighed. "We have to find Jordan!"
I shook my head and bent down a little, looking him in the eye. "Listen, Chase. I'm Jordan Baker. I'm your mentor. The thing is, I'm a vampire. Now, you can come with me and pretend I'm training you, or," I paused and gently touched the side of his neck, "I can kill you. Your choice." -
