Alex's cell rang and he picked up to find it was his mom. "Oh hey, yeah I'm at Nick's house. Okay, well I hope you don't become overworked.."

Nick looked at him, the slightest frown present on his face.

"Okay, bye mom. Love you." He soon hang up and sighed. "They're out late again tonight. But at least she said I can sleepover."

"... Well, at least there's some good..."

"Yeah, and she thinks that they'll start getting time off for the holidays."

"That sounds good. She'll spend the holidays with her family."

"Mhm. I hope your parents get to too."

"I don't know about that."

"...But they have to give them some family time off..." He thought sadly.

"Maybe they'll get a little."
