I was moved from 7th grade math to 8th grade algebra today..
WHAT, NO. I'M NOT THAT SMART.
Guys, tell me algebra will be easy. ._. I never accepted getting moved from:
0.6+0.4=1
to
2xy to the second power+ ALL THESE RANDOM NUMBERS AND LETTERS.
I AM SCARED. -

I'm gonna be in eighth grade math soon, so I'm not sure yet. But the ending of seventh grade math wasn't hard actually. But I had a really good math teacher. Eighth grade math is sort of confusing (I heard), so just focus and ask questions in class.

i dunno about you, but ninth grade algebra was easy enough for me to understand that a 6th grader could figure it out
8th grader algebra isn't that hard -

No lil, that's a eleventh grade Honors Algebra II problem.

@alice i go to a SELF directed learning school, you can have some of the tricks my teacher gave me :P they helped a lot

subtract 2x and move it to the other side.
2x-12=4x+24
-2x -2x

so flip the problem.
2x+24=-12
subtract 24.
2x+24=-12
-24 -24

2x=-36
You need x by itself, so divide by 2 to get rid of the "2" in "2x"
2x=-36

x= -18 -
