(Oh, I see.)
I looked around the clearing nervously as it began to fill with black mist. I stood up, about to run, but instead, I ended up tripping over the log and falling over. -
richard couldn't help but to laugh, even though it sounded creepy, he knew he blew it, and he would be caught sooner or later, he flew right in front of the girl, and his eyes seemed to be glowing red

I was about to scream, but I couldn't. I stared up at the stranger in front of me. He had wings, white hair, and red eyes. Wait, wings? Red eyes? Those weren't human. I tried again to scream, but only could squeak nervously.

richard laughed again, the girl seemed to be scared, so he was going to scare her even more, he slowly disappeared right in front of her, and then appeared behind her, then tapped her shoulder to make her turn

I turned around quickly to see him again. My eyes widened more than I thought possible and I tried to speak, hoping my voice wouldn't break. "W-who are you?"

richard didn't answer, he just smiled in a creepy way

I tried to stand up, but I couldn't. The guy was smiling creepily. Was the black mist his fault? I tried to scoot slowly away from him, absolutely terrified.

"hello" that was all richard said, he slowly walked towards the girl but wasn't trying to be that scary, his eyes went back to glowing red, and he wasn't smiling as much

I tried to back up quicker and run away as soon as he started walking toward me, but of course, I stumbled over something else as soon as I stood up.
"What's your problem?" I asked, trying to sound brave but instead sound like a horrified child. -
"what is YOUR problem?" richard asked, even though he knew she didn't have any problem, he hid his wings to try to look less scary, and he continued to try to go near the girl

"I-I don't have a problem. What makes you think I do?" I stopped backing up, realizing I was against a tree.

richard didn't answer, he felt dark energy from the girl, wait a minute, was he meant to be that girl's guardian? he didn't really know, but he felt weird for some strange reason, he always did when he knew he did something wrong, he didn't have lots of emotions, like being scared or some other ones, he stopped walking, and he was thinking to himself

The guy had stopped walking. I took this as my chance to stand up and escape. I stood up and darted off, yet stopped about seven feet away from him. I didn't think I should leave yet, but last time I'd listened to my intuition I'd ended up in this situation.
I stayed, anyway, staring at the guy.
