"What? My guardian? What do you mean?" I was extremely confused. First, this seemed to be the longest sentence he'd said to me, and second, this seemed to be the most confusing thing he'd ever said.

richard didn't say anything, he knew that the girl was confused

"Uh," I decided to shut up. He probably knew I was confused. I yawned again. "Well, um Guardian Richard, I never told you my name. I'm Thalia."

"you dont have to call me guardian" richard said quietly, he looked out the window and hoped that the creature wouldn't come back in a long time

"Oh, okay." I looked out the window as well.

richard didn't see any strange shadows or hear any strange noises, it wasn't anywhere here, he was glad it was gone

"So, is that thing gone?" I asked, looking over at Richard.

"yes" richard said, richard used another strange power and was slowly sinking through the floor, he waved to thalia as he disappeared, richard went on the couch and soon fell asleep again

"Well, um, goodnight." I took out my contacts and climbed back into my bed. What did he mean, guardian?
