"Her liking me was never a huge concern of mine. Besides, we only have to put up with her for three more years." He smiled. -
"Yes. Just three. One to Two if you wanna stay with us."

"You've already done so much for me, though. I don't want to impose on you guys."

"Arata won't care. I'm sure Brett's moving in with us anyway."

"Okay. My mom's probably going to need me for a while, but senior year. I promise," he said, kissing him lightly.

"Okay." He kissed back.

"Mm, let's get dressed. I'm guessing my mom'll be home soon."

"Got it." He slipped out from under him and pulled his clothes on.

He put his clothes on, slipping on his glasses as well.

"There. All good."

"Kay." He ran a hand through his hair and picked up the popcorn bowl, setting it in the kitchen.

He smiled. "What do we do now?"

"Hmm..." he was interrupted mid-thought by his mother and a man entering the front door. "I guess we're going to be saying hello." He wasn't too pleased with the fact, but he led Nikki over to where his mother and her fiance were standing.
