Konako cuffed Andru's ear, and then giggled as Tailia nipped her shoulder.

Sorrel walked out from behind the bush and tried to grow like her mother did sometimes. She failed. "I'm Sorrel. I suppose I should ask you the same question, though."

"Look here." Officer Sarah said a few hours later. She was in the middle of the Kumire forest with her usual police car, and then another police car, and an animal control van. Another officer came over to look where Sarah was pointing.
A human footprint stood out very clearly in some mud. "We're heading the right direction. Move on." the officer announced, and the two police cars and the AC van moved farther into the forest. -
"I'm Xolani. I'm a deer." Xolani mumbled.

"River! River!" Tree shouted, scared. "River, where are you?!"

"Oh. I'm a cougar. But.... you don't look like a deer," Sorrel said.

Tailia squealed "I see nofurs!"she darted down, heading for the den. Andru followed, but Konako stayed, sitting in the mud.

Both Kitkun and Taini were awakened by shouting.
It was far away, but their ears were sensitive enough to hear it.
"River! River!"
Kitkun looked up into Taini's reflective eyes. "Why on earth would somewolf run around screaming about the river?" he asked. A few other wolves had come into the den while they were asleep, including Tynan, the alpha male. Tynan growled. "I don't know, but they're on our territory." he muttered before walking out of the den, followed by his mate, Dove. -
Xolani looked insulted. "of course I'm a deer, don't be stupid! I'm just...different. My mom says everybody's different."

"River!" she continued to shout, tearing up. "River! I'm scared, where are you?!"

when a hunter shot their mother,they ran to th steam,they floated on the river.

"Oh. I was just saying... that you look nothing at all like a deer. Do deer even know how to swim?" Sorrel asked.

"Yes. But they like running better. Their legs are longer than mine." Xolani mumbled.

Her father, Jasmine, came out. Her twitched an ear, and sat beside her.
"What?"Kona meowed.
"Nothing."Jaz replied -
"Oh. You still look nothing like a deer," Sorrel muttered.
