Mai made her way through the crowded halls of her high school. She got mixed looks. Glares from the preps. Rolled eyes from the jocks. Smirks from the chess club. What the hell is wrong with being different? she wondered as she opened her locker and threw her books in.

Kawa stood at er locker, staring at nothing in particular. Just thinking, thinking her day away.

Josh, the school's soon to be prom king, walked up to her. "Hey, Mai. I was wondering..." he stopped and snickered. "Oh yeah, I forgot. You're a fag. I'm sorry, God must hate you." He laughed and stalked off, greeted by highfives and laughs from his group. Mai glared at him and slammed her locker door so hard that for a second the hall stood silently in shock. Tears were stinging her eyes.

And then, the world around her was silent. She looked up, and everyone was staring at Mai, who was a few lockers down from her. "Well, if God hates anyone then he really has no right to be God himself. For hate is but a branch of the human emotion hate, and if he experiences any human emotion he's no better then his brainless followers." she said.

Kawa smiled, and mouthed back "You're welcome." She then walked over to Josh, and looked him up and down. "Oh yeah, definatly brainless." -

Mai smiled and picked up her books that were strewn around her feet. She made her way to Health class. They were learning about sex. Gah, I don't need to know this crap. she thought. -

She smirked and headed off to her next class, Health. Coincidentaly, she shared most of her classes with Mai. Poor girl, victim of bullying nearly everywhere she went.
