My sister went shopping with my mum and bought me a morph worm thingo look it up they’re so cool
I love it sm new favourite fidget -
I’ve been messing with it so much my hand hurts from the rough edges

So I went to see Mufasa
It was just a classic Disney remake/prequel yk like it wasn’t all that good but not terrible either
The best thing about it were the songs, and the villain song for rhe white lion was especially a bop
The way they referred to girl lions constantly was so funny lmao like the amount of times the big bad lion (Tucker’s dad) was like “go bACK with the fEMALES” or smth cracked me up every time
Also the “but I cannot say your name” thing to Tucker/Scar from mufasa didn’t really make sense or wasn’t as yk sad as it was supposed to be but idk that’s just me
Also Scar has every right to be pissed like I would also be pissed if my brother got the girl I was in love with bc wtf Disney how is Mufasa the good guy in this situation that’s not very best friend core of mufasa -
that's real like I haven't seen it but it feels like scar saved him, they were best friends then mufasa betrayed him and stole his girl and future

Fr like I don’t blame Tucker/Scar I’d be very annoyed too
The CGI was kinda weird too I wish they animated it but I get that takes a while and Disney doesn’t really do hand drawn stuff anymore
But animals talking in the way humans do has always freaked me out idk what it is it’s so weird -

I used to be obsessed with the Lion King lore when I was little so I hated the movie, but I can see why people would like it tbh -

The best thing about it was the songs ngl -
No Taka actually means trash/garbage in Swahili sooooo
My inner 8 year old was crying all of the lore was wrong
i didn't like the songs. Scars villain song was good, and the main baddies song was so close to being good, but the 'bye bye' lyrics took me out of it (hot take ik).
the script didn't feel finished tbh, it felt like they wrote it in a month. All the dialogue felt forced, which then made the songs feel extra forced -
Screaming crying throwing up Scar did not deserve that
Yeah no it didn’t make sense to me either- I’m pretty sure scar mentioned something about their parents in the original like “mother and father chose you and now I’m pissed” or smth but I could be wrong. The thing about them not being blood relatives was weird I agree
The bye bye itched my brain while pissing me off at the same time idk but I liked most of the songs -

Ok but Ghibli is so good
It’s one of the only anime companies in this day and age that doesn’t seggsualise everything because if you watch an anime like MHA and idk SAILOR MOON (where the characters are in middle school??? good ma’am???) you see the female character designs and it’s like . we are talking about TEENAGERS. your 14-15 year old (mainly female) character is wearing and being presented in this way and we’re getting closeups of things we shouldn’t be getting closeups of
But Ghibli doesn’t do that you look at teenage girls and children and friendships and for once you don’t see them seggsualised. Like it’s actually realistic and while there are creepo characters it’s obvious they’re antagonistic and that it’s a very bad thing, it’s not being normalised or promoted
(And I’m aware the age of consent in Japan was like 13 at the time a bunch of these weird animes were made, and I’m not s---ting on these animes I do like a lot of popular animes that do have seggsualisation, but it’s weird and icky how it’s so normalised in animes I can’t watch a popular series without almost getting flashed)
Also there are never ever warnings like please
