she thinks the government is listening to us through her phone. she thinks she's being watched. she thinks the fbi showed up when we called the ambulance for her. and she thinks it has something to do with my brother. I guess it's good that she's not being hostile this time but I have no idea how to deal with this

Sorry this is still stressful. If I were in your situation I would interact with her as little as possible. Emotional distance for your own sake, and you can't solve whatever is her current state of mind. If at all possible, don't take what she says or does personally (meaning you haven't done anything wrong and her thinking isn't rational). Nevertheless, it is a traumatic situation to be exposed to. It's good you and Ash have each other for support.

dobbs very kindly applied a bunch of coupons to make the repairs cheaper, so I've got about $40 left
the logical part of me is saying "excellent, now we'll have a bit of gas money"
but the part of me that's been suffering nonstop for almost two weeks is begging me to buy some books as a treat -
she's still definitely not all there. she's been blowing up my phone since 5 this morning. she's been posting nonsense every few minutes on facebook. I'm so worried about what she might do. how did she ever trick the psych ward into thinking she was ready to come home?
