[[ back when the rule was initially implemented, three users voiced complaints (( notably none of the three were active participants of car talks, they just didn't like that we got the garage)) it was actually the big reason I took a site break, as I kept getting into fights over it 😅
I can try to track down the threads of the complaints if that helps? But I'm not sure I can find them since it's been about 2 years.

I feel like that about all forums though. Sometimes I'm tempted to put threads in the lounge simply because I know it'll get ignored if I put it where it belongs. The community should agree to pay more attention to places that aren't the lounge. It sucks to have your thread ignored

This is an age old argument. From what I remember this conversation has been causing fights since the beginning of this site. Makes me think we haven't been able to come to a good conclusion about it. Idk I just think that's something to consider in mediation. This argument gets brought up every few years or so so maybe this time around we pioneer a new solution

So I'm still really confused on the consensus so I wanted to ask before I did this but would it be okay if I made a character of mine an official thread for everyone to interact with him? I would clarify in the subtitle that it is a rp account, so that people don't confuse him for a real person and think I'm manipulating them into thinking he's a real user or something like that???
