I still can't believe that kid asked us that.

So yesterday morning, something really weird happened.
I had woken up a little earlier than when I was supposed to. But when I opened my eyes I heard the sound of Sparkles' (my dog) walking on the floor. I called for her and she popped up, standing on her hind legs and her front paws on the top of the bed (the bed lays low so she was able to reach it.)
I noticed she looked darker than usual, and I couldn't see her eyes, but I figured that was just because she's a darker color and the lights were off. But another thing was that she didn't quite look...solid. she wasn't see-through or anything, it was weird.
I called for her again, but she decided to drop down. I leaned over and then I saw that my door was closed. How had she gotten through a closed door? I looked for Sparkles and saw that she was going under my bed. Weird thing was she was moving really slowly. And against the white bedpost she looked the tiniest bit translucent. I reached out to pull her out from under the bed, but my hand went through her. I laid back down and called for her again.
She popped up again, but her head was moving slowly back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. I blinked hard a lot and touched my face to make sure I was awake. I was, and she was still there, her head moving back and forth. She looked like a 3D shadow. She then dropped down again and sat about a foot away from the bed. Her head was still moving in the same two directions, over and over, back and forth. I just stared until she walked over to my closet and stopped when she was a about halfway hidden by the door. And then this shadow of my dog morphed into a humanoid figure. It just stood there staring at me until it blended in with the shadows of my closet.
Now, I'm just chalking this all up to the fact that I was still half asleep. But still, that kinda scared me. -
I've had a similar experience before.😂

Really? What happened?

Perhaps you experienced sleep paralysis or were just in one of those weird dreams ya get as ur waking up which feel love you've already woken up irl but it's just ur dream lol
Sometimes I have dreams where I'm awake and struggling to fall asleep- leaves me feeling like I never went to sleep. Or dreams where I wake up and check my phone or message ppl or something else happens that feels almost sorta like I'm awake while it's happening when im really definitely not fully awake at all lol -
I woke up with a plush in my face and for a minute, I wasn't sure what I was seeing. But I was half sleep, so my body couldn't figure out how to coordinate grabbing it.

I have had the same thing happen to me, but with a dead cat.
-
That's relatable.
I just realized I probably looked ridiculous calling for a dog that wasn't there, then leaning out of my bed and swatting the air XD -
lmao.
-
This is the first time it's happened to me, I think I'd really be freaking out if the animal was dead
-
It was 2 months after she disappeared. We just assumed she died.

I'm pretty sure I was awake the whole time. Right after it happened I grabbed my phone and checked the time (5:53). And when my dad came to wake me up my phone was in a different position that it had been when I set it down the night before. Besides, I didn't go back to sleep after it happened.
So I'm just blaming it on, I was still half asleep and I was seeing my dreams. -
That's kinda scary.

I'm going to incorporate this into one of my stories, I think.
