Thread Topic: Alright, I gotta a question for y'all

So, I was walking my dog (as I do every night), and he took a s--- not even two minutes into our walk (which he usually does). However, we just got hit with the cold front so it's really cold and I gotta walk my dog for another twenty minutes and I don't want to be carrying a bag of poop in my hands when it's this cold and the neighbors get p---- if you put it in their trash can, so I was just going to pick it up on the way back. However, as soon as he was done pooping, a voice from a neighbor's security camera across the street goes "are you going to pick up the doodoo?" So I just responded in a nice way by explaining "oh yeah, I'm going to get it on the way back when I finish walking him" and then she just asks me again if I'm going to pick it up, and at this point, I got a little sassy because first off, it's not her yard, and secondly, I already told her I was going to pick it up. So I responded with "I just said I would, but we just left our house so I pick it up on the way back" and just left. And I get where she's coming from because I'm sure there are a lot of people that don't clean up after their dogs, but I just told her that I was going to clean it up (which I did, after I weaved around the neighborhood a bunch of times to wear out my dog). Plus, it's cold, and I wouldn't have a place to cover my hands if I was carrying a bag of s---. (Also, its easier to clean up poop after you let it harden for a bit)
So, my question is this: does it really matter when you clean up your dog's poop as long as you clean it up during the walk? -
I mean as long as it's not in the way or on someone's property then I guess it doesn't matter.
There's always the possibility tho that some other dog walks by and tries to eat it or sniff it or whatever and some owners really don't like that.
