each time charlie thinks about warren being a good friend i want to cry
he betrays you, he almost gets your boyfriend killed, he almost ruins everything
and in the end you still love him and know that he only did what he thought he had to to survive, and value his friendship just as much as you value malik's and marina's and avalon's and jade's because you know he loved you and just made a lot of mistakes
and i think the biggest thing charlie learns is forgiveness and to stop trying to be ready for everything, because if you spend too much time worrying about what comes next, you will miss the now -
likewise, i think the biggest thing marina learned was not to fear yourself and the things you can do, but rather fear being idle and making no progress because then, what are you?
but also it's okay to not have any particular drive sometimes because life will always usher you in some sort of direction, you just need to be ready for it -
avalon realized that no fight is too big for her to be a part of, and that she must never give up, but coming to a compromise isn't the same thing as giving up, and sometimes you have to give in a little to make progress
