Confused -
Charlie walking Serai through grieving for his mom for himself instead of his kingdom, because Serai knows ceremonies and speeches and when to cry, laugh, or br silent. But he doesn't know how to get through the personal part of it, he's never been taught how to deal with this guiltguiltguilt
And Charlie, who was taking clases to be a therapist to little kids who'd lost someone close to them. So he walks Serai through it, through each of the seven stages and serai doesn't understand how this type of guidance can be taught and then charlie tells him that it wasn't
And it clicks and suddenly everything makes sense for Serai, almost every action Charlie's done has been for him and he's been nothing but an a--hole and o h m y g o d
Bc on the flip side charlie never felt ready to tell Serai about his dad and-
