Ainacec sat with her mother under a small bush. She was the only one of her litter to survive, but was happy all the same. -
(I guess I'll have to go on without Cat.)
A Midnight...
Shasta decided to patrol the forest. If she didn't, no one would. -
"Mother, where's father? He hasn't yet returned." Ainacec asked, "I'm not sure. Just be patient, little one, he'll be back soon."

From far away, Shasta heard a yowling. Like a tomcat, in distress. -

Ainacec and her mother also heard the yowling. -
(YAYAY!!!)
'Hello?' Shasta called out. She saw a trapped Tomcat -
"You stay here, Ainacec. I'm going to see who the owner of that yowl was." Ainacec's mother said, walking out from under the bush.

'Oh, my God!' Shasta shrieked. As she attempted to move towards the sound, an unfamiliar voice sounded. 'Don't move...' it growled
