'Leave her alone!' I told the hounds, defending the cat.

My eyes darted everywhere. "Help me!" I called out again. The footsteps of the hounds became louder. My heart raced faster. Tears started welling up in my eyes. Everything became so sereal. I was gripping reality as tight as I could, but I was slipping away faster and faster. "Help!" I yelled once more. The hounds started running faster. They weren't even running, sprinting mostly.

My arms were shaking. I was going to fall. As soon as the thought even came, I tripped over my own legs. I couldn't move.

Shasta growled and the dogs bounded away. She looked up at the terrified feline. 'Don't worry! I'll get you down!' she called up, her voice swelling with kindness.

I heard a faint voice. The hounds were all running away. I tried getting up. My legs made me fall right back down, stammering to the ground. Believe it or not, cats don't always land on their feet. (If this really happened to a cat, I'd be pouring tears! I'm even crying right now!)

Shasta shrieked in horror, she darted over. The cat landed safely on her back. She sighed in relief.

Miles away...
Hanniel, now in his territory, sensed something. Distress. Sweet distress. Shasta and a trace of...someone else. A cat! -
I blacked out. I hurted too much to even keep my eyes open. I wished that I could tell them that I was so very thankful. As I blacked out, they looked down at me as if they were my mother. When she was alive, she wouldtuck us in, right in the middle of her curled up self. I was the runt of the group, so I was always in the smallest spot. When I was blacked out, I dreamed of a world with Mother. She was always so warm, and when she died, I was almost even dead. I was the runt, I was even granted 2 weeks by my vet. But now that I'm a healthy 2 year old, I'm the only one in my family that resembles her the most.

'Cat! Cat, are you ok?' Shasta asked, worried.
'Oh, that Shasta and her kind heart.' Hanniel chuckled 'Always ready to help someone.' -
Nevaeh saw a dark shape in her pond. She yelped when nomed grabbed her scruff.
Nomed (Backward demon) smirked. -
