(Im back but only for a few minutes again)
"Are you trying to tell me this thing is magic or something?" I looked at the cat- I mean, thing closely. I couldn't see much that was odd or out of place. Could this girl be tricking me again? Or maybe she's just crazy. A magic cat...? -

I smiled. "You're catching up pretty quickly. Now, watch." I set Cen in the back seat. "Cen, I trust him. Please change into your normal form?" She began to glow, and held out her scaly arm. "Good. I'm back." Cen looked at "Derek". "Do you believe me now?" I asked quietly. -
My jaw dropped, and I jumped back a bit. "What- what the heck!? What the hell is going on!?" There's no way! Everyhing has a logical explanaion! There must be cameras, or projections, or something! This can't be real! I thought, desperately trying to stay calm and rational.

"I know. I know. Calm down, please. I used to think that there was a logical explanation for everything, too. But, after having been followed by her for a month, I relize that," I shrugged. "There is a hidden world, coexisting with ours. You saw how Cen can change from...this to being a kitten. That is how her people live, most of the time." I touched her scales. "I still don't know what you are," I muttered. "What are you?"

"No, no no no no," I repeated over and over, backing away. My hands were shanking. I coudn't think of a single rational thing to explain what was going on. "T-tell me right now what you're trying to pull with this! Don't think you're going to slow me down by trying to trick me again!"

I frowned. "Trick you? What are you talking about? This afternoon- or, well, yesterday afternoon, I guess- I had seen her just outside a...room," I blushed. "And I asked her what she wanted with me. She and a few others had been following me around whenever I left the house. Then, Cen caught me, and told me she just wanted to give a boy an adventure." I looked at him. "And i guess now that boy she was talking about is you." I turned to Cen. "Is that right?" Cen spit on her scales, and rubbed it in like lotion. "Yes, this is the boy I was talking about."

"Oh my god, this is crazy," I ran my fingers through my hair. "I knew it, I'm going crazy. Maybe it's because I spend all day inside. I need to get out more.." I chattered on to myself, walking around randomly and looking at the creature in the car. "Or am I? No, I can't be crazy..."

I laughed. "No, you're not crazy. I can see her too, remember?" I then frowned. "But what I still don't understand...Cen, why can't other people see you?" Cen 'smiled'. "We can make it so that we can only appear to the people we are trying to help." I glanced at "Derek". "That does make sense." I admit. "But why...why me? Why not some other person?"

I walked back over to the car. "So what exactly are you?" I looked at it right in the eyes. "Some kind of human-lizard-cat hybrid? Or a robot? And I don't get it. Why are you helping me?" I looked at the scales, and the features on it's face. It seemed to defined, to natural to be a robot. So it must be some new breed, or hybrid or somehing.

{CEN POV} I stared at him. "You were longing for an adventure." I reminded him. "And wasn't this an adventure for you? As for your other questions, I cannot answer them right now."

"I guess. But not one that would drive me crazy! And why can't you?"
(Okay) -
(back, but not for long)
"Because my superiors-" I stopped, and turned my head. 'Tell them,' Lea said. 'They pose no danger to us.' I looked at the boy. "They now think there is no danger in telling you. My race is millenia old. We are the Sylurians, here before any of your kind appeared. We are a lizard- human hybrid of sorts. Even after living among your kind for many years, I still find the human race a confusing one." I turn to Elizabeth. "You know everything I am permitted to tell you. Why don't we go, and see where this adventure takes us next?" -
"Takes us next!? I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to put you both undercustody or I might lose my job!"

I stared at Cen. "I think she means to go to the Police Department." I said quietly. Cen nodded. "That is exactly what I mean. And we will go quietly, with no interference."

(Yup!)
"Really? Um.. You relize if you even try to escape you'll be convicts, right?"
