(Sorry I'm late)
I smiled sadly. "Why would I run away again? I had my fun, and gave you an adventure." I ignited the engine. "You ready to go?" -
I got in the car, "Well, I just didn't think you'd give up so easy.."
(That's okay) -
I started driving, and focused all my attention on not crashing into something. "Where's the building?" I asked, not looking at him.

"It's in downtown Pittsburgh. Next to the Marcello's resteraunt."

I nodded. I'd been to Marcello's with my parents before. "Got it." I looked in the rearview mirror, and shook my head with disgust. "That's just gross, Cen." Cen looked up from spitting on her leg. "It's the only way to keep my scales from being dull."

I tried to ignore the creature in the back, but it was hard. It was still hard to believe that thing was real.

I turned onto the exit, and gripped the steering wheel. I saw flashing red and blue lights in front of us, and slowed down when a cop started walking towards us. I rolled down my window. "What's the problem, Officer?"

I face-palmed, wishing I had given her the light for the top of the car. Now we're both in trouble.

"Well, there's been a girl missing since yesterday, and we're searching the cars for her." He guestured to the back of my car. "May I?" Cen immediately changed into kitten form. I smiled up at the Police officer. "No need to. I'm right here."

I pulled my wallet out and showed the officer my badge and i.d. that told him that I was the detective on the case. "She has given in and we're on our way tobthe station now, sir. I'll inform the police stations that they can stop looking." I pulled my cell phone out my pocket and called the station. Second after I hung up, the officer's phone rang.

I stared at the steering wheel, not meeting either in the eyes. "So, are we allowed to go?"

"Yep. Let's go," I told her. I handed her the blue police light. "Stick this on top first though."

I stuck on the police light, and started driving again. I glanced at the dashboard clock, and sighed. "With our short delay, I'd say we're going to be at the station in fifteen minutes, tops."

"Good, okay, even if they do arrest you, your charges aren't that bad. So you probably aren't looking at any jail time, maybe just and officer to keep an eye on you."
