MoonlightNinja NewbieSo hey! First, thanks for clicking on this! And Second, I need help on how to write a song. I try to write poems, I`m pretty good, but I want another way to express myself and all that. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Just write down whatever pops up in your mind,after you got that done just edit it out and re-arrange it til' it sounds right.
Look for inspiration from other songs movies(don't copy the idea though),pictures,experiences,books and much more.
This is how I do it. -
Brainstorm ideas. You say you like love songs, then write one of those first. Perhaps a song about yourself? About something that's an issue today?
Lyrics are basically long poems (usually). Some good, some bad.
As my teacher would say, just brainstorm ideas and write about what you think you know best. -

Samantha2332 JuniorLook, poems are songs, they just have no beat or rythem. And they are usually shorter. Just write a poem about something important to you, think of a cool toon that goes with it, and bam! Instant song!

Wait for inspiration or just write about something your passionate about. Songs don't have to rhyme,but they can! Keep a small journal of random lyrics you come up with and then you can either build on them or mash them together to make a song. Hope this helps!
