Thread Topic: For real now.

Here I am going to post bands I like, along with simple descriptions of them and their music. I will also post links to songs and lyrics if anyone asks. I would recommend the music I post here to anyone who asks. Feel free to look through whatever I put here and enjoy the beauty.
You can post your opinions of the music I post here if you like, but please don't post your own links. I'm trying to maintain my style in this thread. -
Get Scared
This is my favorite band as of yet. They've had two vocalists as of yet, starting with Nicholas Matthews, then going to Joel Faviere, then back to Nicholas again. Joel Faviere is my favorite so far, though they're both brilliant. While Joel displays a haunting voice which can be whispery and chilling and then loud, solid and smooth in the same breath, Nicholas has a harder voice. He displays less of a range but is ultimately a talented singer nonetheless. My favorite album is "Built for Blame, Laced with Shame", but all of the others are fantastic as well. As an early warning, the vocals in "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics" are a bit odd for the band, and don't happen in any of their other albums. This will be the first album in the list, so if you don't like what you hear there, don't ignore the others. They're very different.

Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows
Another of my favorite bands (of which there are four ewe). Only one album that I know of. The vocals are hard for me to describe. They make me think of a storm. They can be very pretty, very quiet and calm, and then get so violent and rushing and I just love them. The lyrics are interesting and easy to relate to, at least for me. They are, unfortunately, no longer making music together.

Adair
This was a favorite band of mine when I was younger. They broke up in 2007, which is a shame, as I'm sure they'd make a great addition to my list of favorite bands if they were still producing music. I'm pretty sure this genre is known as "Indie". I don't do genres, so sorry. I'm not sure. I have a lot of good memories associated with Adair.

Set It Off
Not too much going for this one, but I need a band with only a few songs I like just to feel like I'm not failing at keeping this thread well stocked. The singer in this band is excellent at manipulating his own voice to come up with various different, all equally charming, though some more alarming that others, styles. I don't have too much of their music yet, but I'm looking into them.

Linkin Park
Yeah, yeah, all the exasperated sighs and rolling eyes. Linkin Park has been categorized as emo or just plain cliche lately, and anyone who likes them has some kind of mental deficiency. Well, shut the f--- up with your judgment for just a second. I'm trying to make a post. I grew up with Linkin Park. Songs like "Numb", "In the End", "Faint", and "Somewhere I Belong" were among the first I ever learned. While I grew out of a lot of the music I picked up when I was little, Linkin Park has stuck with me as yet another of my four favorite bands ever. This band is a shot of pure nostalgia for me, and as far as I'm concerned, the quality of their music hasn't changed. Just the style.

Very unique sound with screams that I absolutely adore. Not enough of said screaming to be categorized as screamo, but just the right amount to give them an edge. Fantastic lyrics. I'm not too into their earlier work, but they've only gotten better and better.

This was in my recommendations on Youtube. I have not been disappointed. Getting a strong "Jeff the Killer" vibe off this song.

I'll come back with a more in-depth analysis of this band some time. I swear. I'd have to say, this is one of the few bands I listen to that I'm a bit embarrassed to admit to.
This is a song by BrokeNCYDE that I absolutely love.
The original:
I'm Sorry, I Am [lyrics]
The remake:
I'm Sorry [lyrics are pretty much the same sorry]
The remake is done more professionally than the original, but it seems less emotional. I can't get over either of them. -
Reeve Cipher NewbieHahaha look at how I let this thread die. And some of these bands have been neglected. I'll need to repost a few. Start some more. I'll see to it later.
