I'm back! -
"Uh, yeah," said Pritam cagily.
Zai laughed and said, "If you two like eachother, then it's Ok,"
"Please don't tell!" cried Adamma, "My parents would kill me!"
"I won't," she promised, and went off.
"Do you think we can trust her?" Adamma asked him.
"I think so," he said, "But how does she know?"
"I don't know, maybe someone told her," and she glanced at Ebony, who was looking at them smugly.
"You know it's him," she eyed Pritam.
"I'm going to murder him in his sleep! That horrible little runt! Always has to put his nose in to other people's business! I'll teach him a lesson! I'll spill his blood all over and make him lick it off the floor! I-"
"That's enough," she said, surprised because she had never seen him like this before.
"Fine," he said spitifully and shook a fist angrily at Ebony.
The wedding progressed, everybody stood up when the bride came through, she was beautiful, with golden curly hair resting on her shoulders, a slender chin and rosy lips, with eyes a deep dark blue, her dress was a creamy white with frills and her veil reached the floor, her bouquet was filled with roses of all colors, and irisis, lillies and daffodils.
It wasn't the perfect time of year to get married, but they were detirmned to marry on Valentine's Day, and so it shall be.
After that, they sat down for dinner, they had steak with potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy, with some greek salad with lettuce, onions, muchrooms, tomatoes and cucumbers draped in oil, followed by the dessert which was strawberry jelly topped with custard, and then they ate the strawberry wedding cake which tasted very sweet.
It may have been winter, but it was still beautiful, and the bride said she had felt like snow white, and that she loved the cold weather anyway.
Then, when everyone was just sitting down and talking, the wedding was basically over, Pritam reached for Adamma's hand from under the table and said, "Let's go for a walk, I'm bored," very casually so that her parents or his aunt wouldn't get suspicious.
They got up and walked away, when they were out of eye sight or ear shot, Pritam held her hand once more. They went up a flight of stairs, and down long corridors, this hotel that they were in was quite peculiar, with marble floors and antique furniture, and paintings of people they didn't know.
Then, they reached a hallway where wooden chairs with soft backs draped in soft yellow velvet were scattered round, nobody was in sight, the whole hotel was eerily quiet.
They sat on two chairs, both felt their hearts leap, but Adamma was detirmened to be the first to talk.
"I uh... I want to tell you something," she said shyly.
"Yeah?" he said, "What?"
"Uh... Please don't laugh but, I want to give you this," she reached in to the front of her dress and searched through her bra until she purchased a paper, it was a pale blue color and squared up, she dashed in Pritam's shirt.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Valentine's day card," she said, "But I'm sorry it's not very prope-"
"Nonsense," he said, "Anything at all would be fantastic," Then he leaned closer to her face, "Thank you,"
"Your welcome," she said with a grin, "I hope you like it,"
"Now I've got something for you, and he rummaged through his shirt and pulled out a crumpled up piece of lined paper.
"Sorry," he said, "It's a bit... dodgy, but I tried my best,"
She was just about to open it when he said, "No! Don't read it now, only when you're alone,"
"Alright," she said with a grin, "Thank you,"
And they hugged. Again, both felt that sensation of warmth that they could just lie in eachother's arms, they hugged like they would never see eachother again. Little did they know that they wouldn't.
-
"Uh," said Adamma when they let go, "I want to tell you something..."
"What is it?"
"Well... I... Uh..."
"What?"
"Uh..."
"Go on, say!"
"...You see..."
"Come on,"
"Um... I... Erm... I..."
"Stop fooling around, already,"
She took a deep breath, "Alright, look, I love you, Ok? I love you, there, I said it,"
Though deep in his heart he knew this, Pritam felt like he would have never guessed that in his entire life.
"...Er..."
"What?"
"Adamma," he said firmly, "I love you too!" and he hugged her fiercly, trying not to cry.
"I will always love you," she said, "No matter what happens,"
"I love you more than anything in this world," he said, "Because you are my world,"
Then, they stared at eachother, Adamma lost in his icy blue eyes, and Pritam lost in her honey brown eyes, both in the same world, yet, different.
The time has come.
Pritam made the first move, he opened his mouth only slightly, and so did Adamma, they edged closer, both hearts beating crazily at the same time, like one together. And they edged closer, their pimpel covered noses touched, their cheeks flushed.
And they kissed.
It wasn't a huge spit full romantic kiss, it was an average kiss that lasted for about ten seconds. But it was the best 10 seconds of their lives that niether would ever forget.
"I love you," she said, flushed.
"I love you too," he said.
He then held her hand brought it to his lips and kissed it. "Your hands smell like Irisis," he said with a smile.
"Heh heh, it's the soap,"
"Well well well, what do we have here?" said a voice and they turned to see Pritam's uncle there.
Adamma was speechless.
"Um... Hello Auntie," he said shakily.
"You shouldn't have snuck off like that," she said gravely.
"Oh, uh... How did you know we were here?"
Then, a figure merged from behind her.
Ebony
"You," Pritam said with a sneer, "You're just like your name, black, black hearted, black soul, you're horrible,"
Ebony simply stuck his tongue out and grinned.
Adamma had filled with hatred, malice burning in her eyes, heart filled with rage, ready to pounce and cut the little devil's throat.
Pritam's aunt didn't care about them bieng in love, she never cared about Pritam and let him do his own decisions, but it was Adamma's mum and dad whom were furious with their daughter seeing a boy withought their knowing.
Her father came marching in, shouting, "What are you doing here?" he bellowed, "What do you think you're doing? Are you insane?"
Tears sprang to Adamma's eyes, she sobbed pitifully, Pritam clenched her hand hard, "Please daddy! I can expl-"
"Get up! Now!" he grabbed her wrist and pulled her away.
She looked back to see the scrunched up face of Pritam, crying, his eyes filled with misery and his heart sinking deep in to his chest like an anchor dropping to the sea floor.
"I'm sorry!" she cried, "I love you!"
He knew it was over. So did she.
With her father's anger and feircness, Pritam would never see Adamma again. -
After Valentine's Day...
Adamma had cried for weeks and weeks, every single day she would sob in her pillow until it was soaking wet, niether of her parents came to talk to her or tell her to quiet down, they just let her cry, all day and every day, she wrote poetry all the time, like:
Taken Away
You were there, with me,
We said, we loved eachother
They couldn't let us be,
And we were getting so bothered
They took you away from me,
My heart is gone,
Nobody can even see
What seems to be wrong,
She cried and cried until her head hurt and her she could no longer breath, and her eyes were blood shot and dark circles were under her eyes.
Then she remmebered Pritam's note, and opened it, it read:
From, Pritam,
Dear Adamma,
If you were a rose, you'd be the one I'd pick,
If I were with you, I wouldn't care about growing old or getting sick,
If you were the world, I'd never polute,
If I had a gun, it would be Ebony I'd shoot,
No words can ever describe what you mean to me, but you are my world, and you are my universe, withought you, I'm merely a ghost, drifting through the air, I'd do anything... Anything... To be with you at every single moment, to stroke your hair in the night as I watch you sleep, to wipe away your tears when I see you weep, to hold you in my arms when you're unhappy, to tell you that withought you life is crappy. I love you, and that's the way it will always stay.
Happy Valentines day,
Love, Pritam. xoxoxoxo -
Pritam was so overwhelmed with fear, shock and misery, that he locked himself in his room and spoke to no one for days. Then he rememebered Adamma's note and opened it. It read:
Dear Pritam,
I wrote you a poem! It's one of my best, here it is, hope you like it,
You are my every lasting rays of golden light,
You are my silver moon glowing all through the night,
You are the Iris blooming as blue as the sea,
And you are the Blue bird of happiness, singing in the trees,
You are an angel, flying up in the clouds,
You are the scarlet dream, heavy and proud,
You are the glistening star so far away,
And you are the evening sky, colliding with day,
I hope you liked it, it took me ages to write it! I'm sorry if you think it's cheesy, I just... I just love you, that's the only way to describe my feelings to you, love, affection, so few words could describe it, but never fully, no word created by man could ever describe how much I love you, because there is no limit, and my love is genuine, lasting forever.
Happy Valentine's Day,
Love, Adamma. xoxoxoxoxoxo -
On one fine spring day, about 3 month's later, in mid-may, the two so happened to be at the park at the same time, Pritam was feeding the bird's sesame seeds and Adamma was helping her grandmother get exercise, when the two saw eachother, Adamma let her grandma rest on a bench, and she rushed over to Pritam and hugged him with all her might, she had never felt so happy since that stormy day when they had sat with eachother by the fire.
"Oh, Pritam, I missed you so much!" she cried, and tears sprang to her eyes.
"I missed you too! Life is so hard withought you, I don't know how I can live every day knowing I can't be with you,"
"Oh Pritam," she said, "We'll always be Adamma and Pritam, always and forever will,"
Then they went to a tree far away from the park, around a corner, where it was unnoticed by anybody before, Pritam took out a small knife from his pocket, and carved the letters:
A + P = 4 Ever.
And they lived, not happily ever after, but satisfyingly ever after for the rest of their days.
THE END -

LoL, thanks Scar.
I'm not very good with Romance short stories, so it's a bit dodgy, but hopefully I'll improve over time. =) -
i think it's really good though
[come on dude get a grip!! be a lady!]

Thanks. =) I was afraid it would come out cheesy but I'm actually quite proud of myself. My first Romance story is a success!!
Do you think I should turn it in to a novel?
