Chester sighed and walked to the dining room after a bit. He sat down next to Maeve, averting his gaze from Jayden.

Jayden noticed Chester trying not to look at him again. He froze. Did he hear me and Maeve talking?-

Maeve glanced at Chester, raising an eyebrow, then looked at Jayden questioningly. Chester was contemplating how he would ask Jayden out.

Jayden shrugged when Maeve looked at him. 'maybe he heard us talking?' he mouthed.

Maeve shook her head. She looked at Chester.

Jayd looked at him too. "Chester?"

Chester glanced up. ‘Yeah?’ he said.

"You've been staring at a wall completely zoned out since you walked in here."

Chester’s cheeks burned in embarrassment. ‘Ah. Sorry.’

"It's fine, I'm not mad."

‘Right,’ Chester said, fidgeting with his hands. He gazed at Jayden for a moment, before blushing and looking back down. f---, how do I tell him?

Jayden noticed him blushing. He definitely heard us. Now he's embarrassed. Great.

The food was given to them. Chester took his plate and started speed eating.

Jayden ate quickly too.

Chester ate in silence. He stood up and walked towards the door.
