"But that's the thing William" Holli started leaning into him for balance. "You can't promise. I do trust you, but like Jason said for all we now my family could be dead by now!"
Jason looked triumphant but William carried on glaring at him.
"Okay, but I can promise I'll do everything I can to help you and your family, and if things come to the worse I'll kill that filthy b------- myself!"
Jason rolled his eyes. "And get a life sentence in prison!?"
"Worth it" William lied.
Holli gave him a hug. "Thanks, but I don't want you to kill him" -
(what did you write that came out censored? Just out of curiosity lol)
William hugged her back. 'He deserves to die,' he whispered, but he didn't actually want to kill anybody out of revenge. It would make him just as bad as Sebastian.
Jason grimaced, arms folded. He looked away from Holli and William's embrace awkwardly, shuffling from foot to foot uncomfortably. Holli gently pulled away. It was only then did she realise how dark it was, it couldn't have been much later than 10pm. She wasn't tired, probably because of the sleep she'd had earlier. -
(Swear word)
"You guys wanna sleep? I had a bit of a nap earlier so I'm all right" Jason and William said unified, glanced at each other then laughed.
"K. I guess we walk to the city now" Holli suggested.
(Got writer's block :() -
(Which one tho 🤣)
'Alright,' Jason said, and so they started walking.
'Are you sure we're going the right way?' William asked after a while of walking through overgrown grass and foliage.
'Nope,' Jason responded, not slowing down.
'What if we're heading in the wrong direction?'
Jason stopped in his tracks. 'That's a good point,' he murmured, pulling out his phone to check Google Maps. 'Dammit! No internet.'
'So we're lost,' Holli sighed, sitting down.
'I wouldn't call it lost...'
'Then what would you call it?'
Jason thought about that for a moment. 'Yeah, we're lost,' he groaned, sitting down opposite Holli. -
(I have to go, I'm really sorry)
-
(All good!)
-
(I'm back, though it's probably like really late or early in the morning for you haha 😂😂😂- I didn't actually swear though I censored it out myself because I don't know what else to call Sebastian)
William sat down next to Holli, letting her lean against his shoulder. He yawned stretching out his legs.
"We can't just sit here!" Jason moaned. " We are lost in the middle of nowhere, with no WiFi, and I'm stuck with two lovey-dovey twelve year-olds"
"I'm 13" William mumbled under his breath.
"Is that all you're worried about? Do you you only care about the internet? My family could be dead or worse and we're just sat here lazing about like a bunch of stupid" Holli snapped not finishing her sentence. She stood up and started walking forwards. "Stay here if you like, but I'm going" -
-
(I have been summoned)
Jason stared at the back off the head.
'But you were the one who sat down,' he murmured in disbelief, standing back up. He helped William up also and both off them jogged to catch up with Holli, who was walking at an incredibly fast pace. -
Holli didn't even glance round knowing it was Jason and William behind her. Still, she regreted shouting. She always bottled up her emotions and then exploded. Her shoulder muscles tightened and she had an urge to sit down and apologise but she didnt.
-
After a while of walking in silence, Jason spoke up. 'Can we stop? We've been walking for a long time!'
Holli stopped in her tracks, whipping around to look at him. William fiddled with the bottom of his shirt. 'He's right, y'know,' he said, 'We're all tired, I'll bet. It's best to rest here for the rest of the night and get going in the morning.'
'Fine,' Holli mumbled. The three of them sat on the grass and lay down.
'I'll keep watch,' Jason said quickly, before William could, much to his dismay. He was asleep quickly, though, leaving Holli and Jason awake.
'So,' Holli said, trying to start conversation.
'Mm,' Jason muttered, not looking at her. -
Jason looked Holli up and down then let out an exasperated sigh.
"We can't carry on like this, always arguing and snapping at each other! You've seen what it's doing to William!"
Holli rolled her eyes. "I know" there was silence for a few moments. "I may snap at you, but at least I don't tell you that your family will probably be dead and don't matter"
"You do with Grandad" Jason shot back to which Holli rolled her eyes yet again.
"But so do you, and William. Believe me, I wish I didn't argue with you but you do really make it hard sometimes. Seriously, what is your problem with me?" she asked raising her voice a little making William stir. His eyes fluttered open, and he lay still his back to Holli and Jason, listening to what his brother would say.
Jason took a deep breath and he looked like he may cry. "You really want to know?"
Holli nodded scowling.
"Okay. I don't have a problem with you, I have a problem with you and William. He's the only person I have I have left, and I don't want you to take him away from me. How hard is that to realise? You read people like a book, or at least you can with William, your grandma even Charlie! Why do you think I ran away Holli? I'M JUST STOOD THERE, AN EXPECTED PERSON NOBODY REALLY CARES ABOUT UNTIL I DISAPPEAR AND THEN YOU NEED ME TO FIX A PROBLEM OR SOMETHING!" Jason started walking towards Holli, and she scuttled backwards, step by step.
"I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT!" He roared creeping closer not caring that everyone in a few mile radius could probably hear him. Tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Jason I understand, and I'm sorry we, I made you feel like that" Holli replied panicking as she realised the way she had been walking to was a cliff. It wasn't very high up but anything could be deadly.
"OF COURSE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! YOU'VE NEVER FELT LIKE THAT!" Jason shouted. By now William was running towards them.
"But I do" Holli said. "For years, since my Dad died I've felt left out, unloved not wanted. Useless. I know how horrible it is when nobody wants you there. Even my own Mum hates me! I'm sorry Jason, but I do need you here"
"What so I can fix.."
"No, because your my friend, and your William's brother"
Suddenly, Holli slipped in her step and she screamed as her legs rocketed of the cliff. Jason re-acted quickly gripping Holli's wrist. -
Holli's legs felt weak, and her breathing was shaky. She looked up at Jason, who was holding onto her wrist.
'Don't look down,' Jason said quietly, reaching his spare arm down to try and hold Holli up. Holli shut her eyes tight, taking a deep breath.
William sprinted over. 'What the heck, J!' he shouted, crouching down so he could reach for Holli's other hand. 'How could you let this happen?!'
'I'm sorry,' Jason said through tears, trying to pull Holli up. He seemed like he actually meant it. -
"Don't shout at him William, I slipped it's not anyone's fault" Holli stated. To anybody else it would of sounded stern but not to William.
"Okay" he responded though he still had a grudging look at his brother.
"Come on help me William!" Jason urged lying down flat so it was less fisk that he would fall to.
Holli's face whitened. "My hands slipping!" She shouted tears rolling down her cheeks.
